This past week, we served 523 people, representing 185 households. Every number represents a person, a family, a senior, a child, or a neighbor who needed help โ€” and because of all of you, they received food, kindness, dignity, and hope.

We also want to talk about something very exciting: theย North Plains Neighborhood Food Project. This program will help keep our shelves stocked with nonperishable food all year long. Every other month, neighbors will fill a green food bag with nonperishable items, and volunteers will pick those bags up and leave an empty bag for the next pickup.

Even though this is called the North Plains Neighborhood Food Project, people do not have to live in North Plains to participate. Anyone who wants to support the North Plains Food Bank and help feed our families can join in, fill a bag, and be part of this effort.

Doing these food drives every other month will make a huge difference for the food bank. It will help keep our nonperishable food stocked and will reduce the amount of food we need to purchase each month.

We need everyoneโ€™s help getting the word out. Please share the Neighborhood Food Project on your Facebook page, Instagram, neighborhood pages, Nextdoor, local groups, church pages, and anywhere else you can. The more families who participate, the more food we will have available for our neighbors.
